Recognized For Working in the Deaf Community

Recognized For Working in the Deaf Community

We are only into April and this year has already been full of surprises for me. After working in the real-estate business  for 25 years and working along side the Deaf Community, I was recognized by Realtor Magazine and 303 Magazine.

This is a great accomplishment, not only for me but for the Deaf Community. It brought to light how a lot of Deaf people get taken advantage of by Realtors and Mortgage Lenders because of the communication barrier. This is why I do what I do. I am one of the few bilingual ASL Agents in Colorado and I will do everything I can do make sure my deaf clients are taken care of and are getting the best service possible on all ends.

Please take time to read the articles and contact me if you need help buying, selling or refinancing.

Create a classy canopy and mood lighting for your 4th of July party with this genius idea from Style Me Pretty. Tie red, white, and blue paper streamers onto big-bulb outdoor lights, and hang above a picnic table or a grassy dance space.

Muffin Tin Art Caddy

Vaccuming in High Heels & Pearls created this quick DIY with a muffin tin and some red, white, and blue buttons, beads, and other odds and ends. For a 4th of July party activity, leave it out on a backyard table for kids to string necklaces and bracelets.

Everlasting Snow Cones14-fourth-of-july-snow-cones-fsl

Make snow cones that won’t melt—these beauties are actually Bakerella cupcakes in disguise. A glittery tri-color frosting tops a layered three-color cake that you (and your party guests) have got to see to believe.

Firework Rings

Make fun fireworks accessories with the kids using this tutorial from Fantastic Fun and Learning. Twist together sparkly tinsel stems (or patriotic-color pipe cleaners) to create cute rings.

Cool Soda Bar

Desserts on the 4th of July can be used as party decorations with this sweet soda bar idea from Let’s Dish. Group red, blue, and clear soda bottles on a table with small bowls of striped straws, cherries, sprinkles. After the grill is off, bring out ice cream and let guests make their own ice-cream floats.

Have a safe 4th of July weekend!

The Berkeley Neighborhood

The neighborhood of Berkeley lies in the center of Denver, in the area known as Northwest Denver. Berkeley Park has seen some rapid development in recent years, with many new businesses opening up in the area, and an influx of new residents drawn in by the beauty of the park and the charm of the neighborhood. The area is home to a good selection of restaurants, spas, and boutique stores, many of which are found along Tennyson Avenue.

There is a particularly high concentration of art galleries in the Berkeley area. This is a very artistic community and there always seems to be something going on, whether it is an evening of live music or a night of experimental theater. Tennyson Street is the center of the Berkeley community, and it has given its name to the Tennyson Street Cultural Association, which is responsible for many interesting event in the neighborhood. The Association organizes the First Friday Art Walk and runs the Oriental Theater, which hosts comedy, music, and movies. Many of the homes in the Berkeley area are in the style locally known as the Denver Square, although there are a range of different buildings from lofts to townhouses, to family homes.
